Two Emmerdale favourites expected to make a comeback to ITV soap

It can often feel like soaps have a revolving door of characters and Emmerdale is no exception.

Often soap favourites leave in the back of a taxi leaving the possibility of a return and sometimes characters are killed off which shouldn’t leave any opportunity to return... but on occasion there will still be a comeback.

Following some recent dramatic exits from Emmerdale we’ve taken a look at two stars we think fans will see back on their screens in the coming months.

First up, and to some degree, ticking the ‘returning from the dead’ box we have Jaime Tate - who is played by Alexander Lincoln.

Jamie is missing after a horror crash where the car he was driving sank in a lake. The character is presumed dead but some fans of the soap believe Jamie is still alive.

They might well be right as a few weeks back acting star Alexander ‘spoiled’ things by taking to social media to announce he’s back on set.

Elsewhere, many Emmerdale fans believe Charity Dingle's former partner Vanessa Woodfield, played by Michelle Hardwick, will soon be back in the village.

Vanessa left our screens last year when Michelle went on maternity leave.

In October last year, Michelle and her partner Kate Brooks were overjoyed by the birth of baby Edward.

It has been rumoured the acting star will soon be returning to the ITV soap.

Earlier this week, Emmerdale fans welcomed Kerry Wyatt, played by Laura Norton, back to the show.

Laura is another star who'd taken a break to go on maternity leave.

As always, we’ll keep you posted on the Emmerdale comings and goings.
