Two Edinburgh takeaways have been named in the top UK 2022 award list.
The eateries beat 536,954 eating establishments within the UK to be awarded.
The 2022 Good Food awards reward culinary excellence by grading based on dishes served, customer feedbacks and hygiene scores.
The awards are separated into categories, including best restaurants, café and bars and takeaways.
Soul Sushi and Chennai’s Marina from Edinburgh were both commended by Good Food, and were two of only four takeaways in Scotland.
Taj Mahal in Fife and Village Balti House in Kilmarnock were the other Scottish entries to make the UK Good Food list.

Soul Sushi on Nicolson Street is an award winning Edinburgh takeaway with handmade, inexpensive sushi.
The takeaway provides a range of ‘grab and go’ boxes, rolls, nigiri, sashimi, poké bowls, hot katsu curries, salads and soups. All food is made fresh on site throughout the day until 9pm.
Edinburgh’s Chennai’s Marina, at Jock’s Lodge, is a home for traditional and exquisite Indian & Sri Lankan delicacies in the city.
The classic takeaway offers wide varieties of eclectic flavours of India & Sri Lanka, using exclusive spices, herbs & seasoning derived from authentic recipes and opens from 4:30pm to 11:15pm.
