The touching moment a pair of Scots newlyweds with matching tartan met on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile was captured by onlookers in awe.
The happy couples were both making their way down the Royal Mile after tying the knot to continue the celebrations.
When they bumped into each other they couldn’t resist getting a snap of the coincidence.
Ross Manson McEwen and his wife Victoria McEwen had just got married at St Margaret’s Chapel at Edinburgh Castle were on their way to the Balmoral for the reception.
Speaking to Edinburgh Live Ross said: “It was a typically Scottish moment where we didn’t even exchange names.
“Just a hearty hug and congratulations, a few photos from our respective photographers and we were on our way, it was quite a wonderful moment in fact!
“Our tartan is MacEwen Ancient, and I am an Armiger / Vice Chair of Clan MacEwen so it was a terribly Scottish day full of laughs and excellence."
The stunning Scottish couples shared a hug as joyous spectators cheered while watching the special moment.
Both grooms can be seen sporting dark green Tartan next to their beautiful brides in gorgeous white gowns.
The happy affair was captured on Saturday 22 October in the capital and has been a hit with social media users gathering hundreds of likes.
Ross wrote: “Just a wee stroll down the Royal Mile as newlyweds - and we bumped into a couple more!”
