Two eastern European men killed in linked murders in Barnet and Elstree named

Two men men whose murders were linked following the grim discovery of a body in the boot of a car have been named by police.

Detectives are involved in a “complex investigation” into the deaths of Albanian national Arber Fesko, 30, of no fixed address, and Shkelqim Paja, 31, a Kosovan national, of Rowley Way, north London.

Mr Fesko’s body was found in the boot of car in a remote country lane near Scratchwood Park in Barnet, north London, on December 19, police said.

A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as stab wounds to the neck and chest.

Mr Paja’s body was found in undergrowth in Hogg Lane, in Elstree, Hertfordshire, on December 20.

He died from stab wounds to the chest.

Officers from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are attempting to establish a full timeline of what happened.

The victims’ families are being supported by specialist officers.
