Two drivers were rushed to hospital after a two vehicle crash on a Mayo motorway on Tuesday morning.
The incident happened on the M5 at Swinford at around 9am.
Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene after the serious collision with both drivers brought to Mayo General Hospital for treatment.
However while their injuries are understood to be serious, they are not believed to be life threatening.
The road was temporarily reduced to one lane of traffic, but has since fully reopened.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a two-vehicle traffic collision that occurred on the M5 at Swinford, Co Mayo, at approximately 9:00am this morning, Tuesday, 8th June 2021.
"Both drivers were conveyed to Mayo General Hospital for treatment of their injuries, which were non-life threatening in nature.
"The road is currently open for use."
