Two dream Dublin homes people are obsessed about but nobody seems to want to buy

It’s a long-accepted fact that the Irish love property.

But some houses, mystifyingly, just seem impossible to shift – not for love nor money can owners eager to sell get them off their hands.

There are dozens of houses across Ireland that have spent months – if not years – on the market.

And the mystery thickens when you realise that many of them have audiences who are clearly obsessed with them but unwilling to cross the line and buy them.

Here’s two Dublin properties that everyone seems to love but nobody wants to purchase.

A Dublin castle

Located in Churchtown, this turreted titan has scores of admirers – over 30,000 people have viewed it since it came on the market in March this year.

But so far the luxury pad has failed to attract a bidder capable of meeting its eye-watering asking price of €1.8 million.

With some gorgeous architectural features, it seems it’s only the high price of the house that’s stopping a buyer coming in and snapping it up.

€900k Portmarnock pad

Anyone with the cash to splash could do worse than this lavish dwelling on Dublin’s north side.

But it seems the public have a few reservations – while more than 25,000 have cast an eye over it, nobody has put their hand in their pocket.

What about that garden, though.
