Penrith will be part of a NRL round 19 double-header when they play Brisbane at Suncorp Stadium. (AAP)

The NRL is pressing on with its plans for match double-headers in the competition's Queensland bubble with another two to be played in round 19.

League bosses confirmed the schedule for next weekend on Friday night, with double-headers at Brisbane on Saturday evening, July 24 and on the Gold Coast on Sunday afternoon, July 25.

It follows a similar schedule for this weekend, with both Suncorp Stadium and Cbus Super also hosting double-headers in that fixture.

The Sunshine Coast will host its first game of the current Queensland hubs with South Sydney taking on the Warriors there on the Saturday.

North Queensland are able to continue playing at their home stadium in Townsville when they tackle defending premiers Melbourne, while Brisbane are technically the away team at home ground Suncorp Stadium when they play Penrith.

The venues for rounds 20 and 21 are expected early next week.
