Two Doors Down viewers crack up as Christine 'nicks' Scottish fizzy favourite

Two Doors Down returned to our screens on Wednesday night, and this time it was all hands on deck as Ian and Gordon's friends turned up at Beth and Eric's door before they jetted off Down Under.

According to the programmes synopsis: "Chaos ensues as Ian and Gordon’s pals park up at Beth and Eric’s for their Aussie holiday, and an organised Morven becomes increasingly frustrated with Lin’s lack of packing skills."

Lin had packed plenty of unnecessary items, but the tension really brewed over when she produced a bumper pack of Irn Bru to take back to her ex in Australia. Partner Morven was certainly not happy with the news, and ordered her to leave the fizzy treat at home while the grumbling pair got situated in the car.

As they set off at the end of the episode, Beth reaches down the side of the couch to find that in her angry hurry, Morven had left all the boarding passes and passports at the house - and the camera pans to a content Christine with the value pack of Irn Bru on her lap, sipping away.

Viewers were in stitches at this scene, as they poured their thoughts onto social media. One Twitter user wrote: "Brilliant writing, so many one liners, crack me up #twodoorsdown."

Another said: "I knew Christine would have the irn bru! #madeinscotlandfromgirders #twodoorsdown."

And a third wrote: "#twodoorsdown is bloody hilarious, "i know what I'd leave behind if i was her"."

More comments read: "#TwoDoorsDown awkward rearranging your luggage in front of the neighbours."

And finally, one concluded: "'Will you go a proper holiday after that' #TwoDoorsDown Christine, so wrong, but so funny!"

The final episode of series six of Two Doors Down will air on Tuesday, December 17, 2022 at 10pm on BBC Two.

The Two Doors Down Christmas Special is scheduled for Friday, December 23, 2022 at 10:05pm on BBC One.
