Two Doors Down finale branded 'masterclass in writing and comedy' ahead of Christmas episode

Two Doors Down aired its final episode last night ahead of the Christmas special - and it's safe to say it's gone down a treat.

Airing on the BBC this week, series six episode six called 'Garden Party' ran for 49 minutes and it seems people could have watched it for longer.

The comedy episode description read: "Taking advantage of the weather, the neighbours head for the back garden, but it’s hardly relaxing as Beth fields criticisms of everything from her garden furniture to her slabs."

The show saw the return of iconic characters such as Beth (Arabella Weir), Christine (Elaine C Smith) and Eric (Alex Norton) with fans of the hit BBC Scotland sitcom loving the episode so much that people were calling it a "masterclass" .

One said: "Yes Beth! Loved that she got the last word in what had been another smasher of a series of #TwoDoorsDown. So underrated but a masterclass in writing and characterisation. I’ve missed Cathy big time (such a monster) but every single character plays their part superbly."

Another said: "Fantastic #TwoDoorsDown tonight. So many laugh out loud moments! Can’t wait for the Crimbo ep."

"#twodoorsdown brilliant tonight. Absolute masterclass in comedy" tweeted a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said that the show "has got me hooting with laughter tonight."

Two Doors Down returns to BBC 2 Scotland on Friday December 23 at 10:05pm for their Christmas special.
