Two directors named for property firm's digital business

Property group DJ Alexander  has appointed two new directors to its Apropos  digital business.

Nick Maunder becomes director of operations and chief technical officer and Matthew Garstang is finance director of the online property management portal which will launch in the New Year with a UK-wide remit.

Nick Maunder is a former RAF pilot who joined DJ Alexander as sales director in 2017 from ATM software giant KAL. He has been developing the  Apropos software platform with 31 staff in the UK and India.

He said: “Developing and delivering a bespoke software platform is always a challenge but one that I relish. We have created something unique with Apropos and I, and my team, are very proud of what we have achieved. I believe that it will be seen as innovative, unique, and a vanguard of the way property platforms develop in the future.”

Garstang is a charted accountant who previously worked for PWC and Grant Thornton and has most recently been director of finance for Crieff Hydro Hotel and finance director at Edinburgh Marina.

he said: “David and John Alexander have fantastic plans for the development of their company and recognise that if you stand still in any business environment you invariably fall behind. Their approach through to growing Apropos by DJ Alexander is innovative and exciting and, I believe, will be welcomed by the marketplace. It is a dynamic and stimulating project to be working on and I look forward to working with then in the coming years.”

David Alexander, joint managing director of Apropos by DJ Alexander, said: “I have always thought that to achieve anything you must have the best people around you and I believe that appointing Nick and Matthew to our board strengthens and builds on our already strong team.

"We have a lot of challenges ahead but with the best people, both on the board and across all parts of the company, I believe that we can achieve great things in the future and I look forward to working with them on the board in the years to come.”
