Two die after British man falls from seventh-floor balcony of Marbella hotel and lands on top of local

A British man has died after falling from the seventh floor balcony of a hotel in the Costa del Sol.

The man fell onto a Spanish man on the terrace below who was also killed in the incident.

The incident happened at the five-star Melia Don Pepe Hotel in Marbella, a Foreign and Commonwealth Office spokesman confirmed.

Officials said they were supporting the family of a British national following a death at the hotel.

The spokesman said: "We are supporting the family of a British man following his death in Spain, and are in touch with the local police."

The British man was thought to be on holiday with his family when he fell from the seventh-floor balcony of the hotel in the early hours of Saturday, the MailOnline reports.

He collided with a Spanish man who was on the terrace below.

A spokesman for the National Police in Malaga said: “I can confirm two men have died at a hotel in Marbella after one plunged from the seventh-floor and landed on top of another.

“We are investigating.”
