Two dead, as many critical after inhaling chemical during cleaning water tanks in Thane

THANE: At least two workers died and two were in critical condition after inhaling a chemical used for cleaning the overhead water tanks in a building located at Naupada in Thane on Sunday evening.

According to authorities, the chemical SBR2 used for cleaning the tanks from inside caused the workers to feel dizzy following which they were pulled out.

The deceased were identified as Vivek Kumar (30) and Yogesh Narvankar (38) while Ganesh Narvankar (30) and Mithun Oza (36) were in critical condition.
