Two dead after NSW skydiving accident

Two people have died in a skydiving accident in the NSW southern tablellands. (AAP)

Two people have died in a skydiving accident at Goulburn in NSW's southern tablelands.

The two parachutists fell to their deaths from an aircraft about 12.50pm on Sunday, landing near the runway of the local airport.

The aircraft was reportedly in difficulty at the time of the incident and the series of events leading up to the tragedy are unclear.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
