Two counties see big coronavirus cases weekly rise amid fears of second wave in Ireland

Dublin and Kildare have seen the biggest weekly jumps in coronavirus by some distance according to the latest figures.

Stats from July 3 to July 10 - the most recent available - show Dublin has shot up 24 cases in a week while Kildare has had 19 more.

Kilkenny, Laois, Leitrim and Roscommon are the only counties that have not seen a rise in the last seven days.

Waterford, 7, Sligo, 7, Wicklow, 6 and Louth, 6, have all seen notable jumps amid fears of a second wave.

Health experts are warning that Covid-19 could become a "major problem" again if the health advice is not adhered too.

Ireland is set to move into phase four of the reopening plan next Monday although that could be pushed back if cases continue to rise.
