Two coronavirus deaths recorded at Merseyside hospital trusts

There have been two further coronavirus deaths recorded at hospital trusts in Merseyside over the last 24 hours, according to the latest official figures.

The daily statistics briefing, which is published by NHS England, offers an insight into how our region is progressing in its fight against the disease.

Today's figures recorded two further deaths, following on from a day with no new deaths on Friday, July 10.

This means two new fatalities have been recorded across all of the trusts across Merseyside and the surrounding regions.

They were recorded in Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The death totals remain as follows:

Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust - 4

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust - 4

Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust - 19

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - 468 (+1)

Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust - 3

Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust - 149

St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust - 207

The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust - 10

Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust - 238

Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust - 136 (+1)
