Two communities heartbroken as Wexford crash victim, 25, named locally

Two local communities are in mourning at the death of a young man who lost his life in a single vehicle road accident.

25-year-old Sean Hurley, with an address of Pugin Park,Tagoat, Co. Wexford, died as the result of injuries received in the accident.

The communities were plunged into mourning by the death of the young man in an accident that left three others badly injured.

At around 1.40a.m. on Saturday morning, gardai and emergency services attended the scene of a single vehicle collision on the N25 at Drinagh on the Rosslare road.

One of the passengers in the car, a 25-year-old man, was taken to Wexford General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the car, a woman in her 20s, is being treated in Wexford General Hospital for serious injuries.

Two other passengers in the car, a male in his late teens and woman in her 20s, were treated for minor injuries.

As the car came to the attention of gardai prior to the incident the matter has been referred to GSOC.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses and are particularly appealing to anyone with camera footage from along this route at the time of the collision to make it available to investigators.
