Three-car crash delays traffic on Kings Avenue bridge, as Commonwealth Ave re-opens

A three-car collision is delaying southbound traffic on Kings Avenue bridge in Barton, ACT police say.

But two city-bound lanes on Commonwealth Avenue have re-opened after a collision between a bus and a pedestrian in Acton. However, traffic travelling along Commonwealth Avenue is still experiencing delays due a separate vehicle break down.

Emergency services were called to the Kings Avenue crash just before 9am, and as of 10am one lane was blocked by the vehicles involved.

Earlier, ambulance services were called to Commonwealth Avenue near Albert Street and Regatta Place about 6.30am. One man has been taken to hospital, an ESA spokesperson said.

A police spokesperson said police were investigating the incident.
