Two children among five in hospital after house fire in Swansea

Five people have been hospitalised following a house fire in Swansea.

Three adults and two children have been taken to hospital after a fire broke out at around 11.20pm at a house in Burrows Roads, Sandfields.

South Wales Police has confirmed that an investigation is ongoing which is being lead by the fire service

The incident is not being treated as suspicious.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We attended reports of a house fire in the Swansea area last night, Thursday 21 October at 11.23pm.

"We sent our Hazardous Area Response Team, the Wales Air Ambulance, two rapid response vehicles and two emergency ambulances. A total of five casualties were taken by road to Morriston Hospital, Swansea, for further treatment."
