The NBA has postponed two Chicago Bulls games due to COVID-19 concerns, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The NBA postponed the Bulls’ games against the Detriot Pistons Tuesday and the Toronto Raptors Thursday. These are the first two games postponed by the NBA this season. The Chicago Department of Health is reportedly concerned with the Bulls playing this week, factoring into the decision to move the games.
Forward Alize Johnson tested positive Monday morning, according to Wojnarowski, adding a 10th to the previous nine players out due to COVID-19 concerns. Currently star Zach LaVine, as well as DeMar Derozan, Coby White, Javonte Green, Matt Thomas, Derrick Jones Jr., Ayo Dosunmu, Troy Brown and Stanley Johnson, are out in addition to Johnson. The minimum required to play is eight players, according to Wojnarowski.
The Bulls are currently third in the Eastern Conference with a 17-10 record despite losing its last two games to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat.
