Two Chelsea fixtures moved for TV coverage in October against two Premier League newboys

Two matches in October for Chelsea have been moved to fit in with the TV schedules for the month, announced by the Premier League on Friday afternoon.

The Blues’ trip along the A4 to face newly-promoted Brentford has been moved to a 5.30pm kick off on Saturday, October on October 16 and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Later In the month on October 23, the Blues will face another newly-promoted side Norwich City at Stamford Bridge. That match will now kick off at 12.30pm on the Saturday lunchtime instead of the originally slated 3pm start.

That means that six of Chelsea’s matches across September and October will be broadcast live on subscription TV.

The home game against Aston Villa on September 11 will be a 5.30pm kick off, eight days later Chelsea travel to Spurs for a London Derby at 4.30pm on Sunday the 19th before they play host to Man City six days later in SW6 with a 12.30pm kick off on September 25.

Two more of Chelsea’s matches will be shown live on television in August as the season gets underway but not their opener against Crystal Palace on August 14.

The first time we will see Thomas Tuchel’s side in action on broadcast will be the visit to Arsenal on Sunday, August 22 at 4.30pm.

That is followed by the trip to Liverpool six days later with a 5.30pm kick off at Anfield on August 28.

Later on in the season, Chelsea’s visit to Watford on November 30 has been earmarked for potentially being moved with the Blues set to be in Champions League action.
