A man and woman have been charged with attempted murder after a man was found 'seriously injured' in Glasgow.
Police raced to Middleton Street and rushed the 37-year-old to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital at around 3pm on Wednesday.
Now a 43-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man have been arrested and charged in connection.
The pair are expected to appear in court today and police say enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We can confirm that a 43-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man have been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a 37-year-old man in the Middleton Street area of Glasgow.
"The incident took place around 3pm on Wednesday, 1 September, and the victim was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
"The pair are expected to appear in court today Thursday, 2 September. "
