
Two people have been charged over an alleged violent incident at a Lake Macquarie home this week.
Police said a 35-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man went to a home at Toronto Road, Booragul, about 12.30pm on Wednesday where they were involved in an altercation with two men - aged 31 and 27.
The 31-year-old man sustained a knife wound to his face before the 35-year-old and 27-year-old fled the scene in a Subaru Impreza.
Paramedics took the 31-year-old to John Hunter Hospital for treatment of the injury to his cheek.
Lake Macquarie police arrested the 35-year-old woman and 27-year-old man a short time later at a service station on Dudley Road at Whitebridge.
The woman was charged with special aggravated break and enter with wounding, wounding in company and breaching an AVO.
The man was charged with special aggravated break and enter with wounding and wounding in company.
Both were refused bail to face Toronto Local Court. The woman will face court on November 27 and the man will appear on November 24.
