Two charged after terrified pensioner robbed twice in his Hamilton home

Police have charged two people after an elderly man was robbed twice in his Hamilton home.

The 84-year-old's home in May Gardens was robbed on Sunday, September 27, and Monday, September 28.

Cops have now confirmed two people have been arrested and charged following the incidents.

The pair - a 50-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man - are due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court today.

Detective Sergeant Kevin Clark, from Lanarkshire CID, said: "I'd like to thank the public for their assistance in this investigation, allowing us to bring some peace of mind to the victim."
