Two people have been arrested after allegedly robbing a pair of teenagers in Hamilton.
The victims, aged 17 and 18, were threatened and mugged by a group of males on Saturday while walking in Douglas Park Lane.
A 32-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy have now been charged in connection with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We can confirm that two people have been arrested and charged after two teenagers were victims of a robbery which happened in Hamilton on Saturday, 15 May, 2021.
"The victims, aged 17 and 18, were walking in Douglas Park Lane, which runs behind Hamilton West Train Station, when they were approached by a group of males.
"They were threatened and had personal belongings stolen.
"A 32-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy have now been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
"They were due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 18 May, 2021.
