Two changes as Manchester United fans name line-up they want to see vs Liverpool

Manchester United fans have named the starting line-up they would like to see against Liverpool this afternoon.

United know a loss will hand the Premier League title to Manchester City following their 2-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Yet the game comes sandwiched between two Europa League semi-final legs against Roma, giving Ole Gunnar Solskjaer something extra to consider when naming his starting XI.

The fact United lead 6-2 from the first leg may well give Solskjaer more room to manoeuvre when he names his team for Sunday afternoon's game, however.

The line-up United fans want to see vs Liverpool

Dean Henderson returns in goal in place of David de Gea, who started the midweek win over Roma.

United fans want to see an unchanged back four, with Victor Lindelof partnering Harry Maguire in the centre of defence.

The core of United's midfield is also unchanged, with Scott McTominay and Fred playing a double pivot and Bruno Fernandes supplying the attacking threat and creativity.

Mason Greenwood returns to the starting line-up after scoring off the bench against Roma, playing on one wing with Marcus Rashford on the other.

After his starring role in the Reds' victory over Roma, in which he scored two goals and set two more up, 34-year-old Edinson Cavani is named up front, being given two starts in the space of four days.

That means United fans want to see just two changes from the side that beat Roma, with Henderson and Greenwood coming in. Interestingly, that means there is no space for Paul Pogba, despite the midfielder's excellent form this season.

OUT: De Gea, Pogba

IN: Henderson, Greenwood
