Two cats shot by air rifle in heartless attacks in Cabinteely

Two cats have been left injured, one seriously, in separate air rifle attacks in the past week.

Both incidents took place in the Clonkeen Park area of Cabinteely earlier this week.

It was confirmed to Dublin Live that one was taken to Ark Vetcare on Wednesday and the other was brought in yesterday.

Pet owners in the area are now being advised to keep their animals indoors for the next while.

Ark Vetcare warned: "Two cats were brought to our Foxrock Hospital on separate Days this week after being shot by an Air Rifle in the Clonkeen Park area of Cabinteely.

"The Gardai in Cabinteely have been informed and they are investigating. We would advise pet owners in the area to keep their cats and unaccompanied dogs indoors for the next while."
