Two cars crash after 'altercation between group of boys'

Two cars have crashed after an argument broke out between a group of boys.

Merseyside Police were called to Rice Lane, near The Prince Arthur Inn at around 3.45pm on Tuesday, February 28, following reports of a crash between two cars. Police said a blue Ford Explorer and a Kia Sportage crashed following an "altercation in the area between a group of boys".

Rice Lane was closed by police while they investigated the incident. Two boys aged 16 and 17 were later arrested on suspicion of affray.

No injuries were reported at the scene and the road has since reopened. Traffic was heavy in the area while emergency services dealt with the incident.
