A. two car crash has shuts down the A92 as mercy crews swarm the busy road.
The smash happened at Portlethen around 3.40pm this afternoon.
The road has been shut down in both directions as a result sparking traffic chaos in the area.
It is unknown if anyone has been injured at this stage.
Emergency services are in attendance.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received report of a two vehicle crash on the A92 southbound at Portlethen around 3.40pm on Wednesday, 6 October, 2021.
"Emergency services are in attendance and both lanes southbound are closed."
Traffic Scotland said: "The A92 is now closed southbound at Portlethen due to a road traffic crash.
"Please use an alternative route in the meantime."
