Two car crash in North Glasgow sees person taken to hospital as road blocked

A person has been taken to hospital following a two car crash in North Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to the incident on Springburn's Atlas Road at rush hour, shortly after 5pm on Thursday night.

A photo shared on Facebook community page No1Seems2Care shows police and ambulance crews at the scene. Nearby Springburn Way was blocked as they responded, with the crash understood to have taken place at the junction of the two streets.

Police Scotland say one person was taken to hospital following the crash but the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

A police spokesperson told the Daily Record: “We were made aware of a crash involving two cars on Atlas Road in Glasgow around 5.15pm on Thursday, 13 January.

“One person has been taken to hospital.”
