A major city road is closed in one direction this afternoon following a two car crash.
Footage shows motorists mounting a grass reservation rather than wait in the mounting queues after the smash on Muirhead Avenue East at the junction with Broad Lane today.
Police are now at the scene of the crash which involved a Ford Fiesta and Volkswagen Tiguan which happened around 10.15am.

Images show buses and a Home Bargains lorry stuck in the tailbacks.
But some motorists have decided to drive across the grass island to join traffic heading in the opposite direction.
Police are urging motorists to avoid the area while the vehicles involved in the crash are removed.
Thankfully nobody has been injured.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "We were called at 10.15am to Muirhead Avenue East at Broad Lane to a road traffic collision involving two vehicles. The road is blocked and motorists should avoid the area while the vehicles are recovered. There is no suggestion anybody has been injured."
At this stage it is not clear if one of the cars was parked at the time of the crash.
