Two Bristol boozers will soon have new owners after a community pub operator agreed to acquire a portfolio of 150 sites from the Heineken-owned Star Pubs and Bars.
The acquisition will see Admiral Taverns' portfolio rise from 800 "sustainable, individual and authentic wet-led pubs across the UK" to 950.
The two pubs in Bristol which will transfer from Stars Pubs and Bars to Admiral's ownership are the Warwick Arms in Kingswood and the Lifeboat in Shirehampton.

Star Pubs and Bars, which recently carried out a £500,000 refurbishment of The Langton in St Annes and is planning an overhaul of The Elm Tree in Bishopsworth, said it remains committed to Bristol.
A spokesperson said: "We have 37 pubs in Bristol which we see as a vibrant and diverse city with pubs to match.
"This is evident in our investment in our pubs in and around the city over the last few years including The Langton in St Anne’s and The Elm Tree in Bishopworth."
Heineken's pub-arm also owns The Eastfield Inn in Henleaze, The Knowle in Knowle and the Jersey Lily in Clifton, among others.
In December the company sold 76 of its sites to Hawthorn Leisure for a fee thought to be in the region of £12 million.
