Two girls hit by car in Glasgow's east end during rush-hour

Two girls have been rushed to hospital after in Glasgow.

The youngsters were knocked down on Crown Point road in the east end of at 8.50am this morning.

Police and ambulance crews attended  and closed the road down amid rush-hour traffic.

Police officers say there appears to be no series injuries following the early morning crash.

A spokesperson from Police Scotland told the Record: "At 8.50am police were called to Crown Point Road after reports of a collision between a car and two girls.

"Ambulance also attended.

"Details of the condition of the boys are yet to be confirmed.

"At this stage, there appears to be no serious injuries."

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman told the Record: "We received a call at 8.43am today to attend an incident on Crown Point Road in Glasgow.

"We dispatched two ambulances and a paramedic response unit to the scene.

"We transported two child patients to Glasgow Children’s Hospital.”
