Two sixteen-year-old pot smokers have been given an official police warning.
The boys were caught in a car in quiet Cessnock Road, Troon after 10pm on December 1. Officers approached the vehicle and smelled the drugs.
Police spokesman Nick Callow said: “The vehicle and its occupants were subsequently searched and a small quantity of cannabis was recovered.”
Meanwhille, a 55-year-old man acting disorderly at a property in Church Court, Ayr was arrested last Tuesday.
A driver aged 47 has been charged and his white Peugeot van taken off him for having no insurance or MOT.
Police had pulled him over on Galloway Avenue, Ayr last Wednesday afternoon.
In another incident, a woman thief who targeted multiple Ayr High Street stores was caught on Friday morning.
She had concealed various items, but police made enquiries and caught up with the 39-year-old later. They arrested her and took her to Ayr police station.
