Two boys and two girls 'get poo thrown at them' in south Dublin town before boy is brutally attacked

Two girls and two boys were left helpless when a group of teenagers allegedly threw poo at them as they passed by a halting site in a South Dublin village.

An eye witness, who wishes to remain anonymous, told Dublin Live that the four youngsters reportedly had to withstand the sickening attack as a gang harassed them outside the site in the Ballybrack area.

The witness added that one of the boys received "a few slaps" to the head during the incident near Cromlech Fields, which took place on Sunday.

The woman was a passenger in a car being driven by her partner at the time of the incident and said that they stopped when they saw the younger children being harassed.

The brave local mum approached and asked the injured party if they needed any help.

She said: "I hate bullies. I was walking over when I saw four young people, two boys and two girls, get poo thrown at them.

"I saw the group of lads run behind a wall. One of the two boys was attacked and I saw him holding his head.

"When I pulled in they told me they had poo thrown at them."
