Two boys aged six and 10 who were allegedly abducted by a woman on the Gold Coast have been found safe and well.

Police said the boys were taken from Lindfield Rd, Helensvale, about 11am on Thursday and were initially feared to be "at significant risk".

A woman, who is known to the children, was seen taking them and putting them into a black 2012 Holden Commodore with the registration 493CA7.

However, police said the boys were found "safe and well" at a Benowa address later on Thursday.
