Two-bed flat on sale for £375,000 holds dark surprise inside guaranteed to divide opinion

This two-bed flat is on sale for £375,000, but it hides a dark surprise.

The decor of the modern house is completely black and located in Manchester.

From the street, the 89-year-old Art Deco style Victorian Mill warehouse looks like any other city-centre accommodation.

Once inside the property, potential buyers will see its unique finishings as all the rooms have been painted black.

The walls, ceilings and doors match the same dark colour.

In the kitchen, the counters, cabinets and radiator are also black. The gold taps and sink are the only spots of colour in the room.

The living room has a black sofa and blinds, and a vase of black flowers is also on display.

The new owner will also be laying their heads to sleep on black pillows surrounded by black walls and furniture.

Nest Seekers have put the property on the market and say added features that may attract buyers are that it comes with a parking space

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.

The Rightmove listing says it is "A truly 'one of a kind' apartment."

It adds: "Once a Victorian Mill warehouse built-in 1933, the building was converted into apartments in 1997 by Maghull, a Liverpool-based developer.

"The Met apartments have a perfect balance of old and new, by combining the 1920's and 1930's Art Deco style of architecture with the modern living, whilst uniquely retaining its original features.

"Inside is where the magic happens. Sexy. Seductive. Desirable.

"No thought or expense has been spared, the kitchen/diner is at the heart of the apartment comprising of quartz, carefully selected integrated appliances and pop up sockets for convenience.

"Through the living area to a distinctive Loggia area, that could potentially offer the perfect 'home office' space.

Property expert Jonathan Rolande said: "A property guaranteed to divide opinion."

Earlier this year, we reported on an unusual property that was on sale in Greater Manchester.

The surprising one-bedroom home located near the town centre of Ramsbottom was listed for £70,000 - and is worthy of George Clarke 's Amazing Spaces according to some.

Based on Spring Street, the tiny house also has a pocket-sized kitchen-living area and a petite en-suite bathroom, reports the Manchester Evening News.

And while this might not seem like anything out of the ordinary, the interior of the property has got people talking online - all because of the dimensions.

The property's half-sized staircase is one particular eye-catching detail - as is the size of the kitchen.
