Two assaulted at Partick pub as police appeal for information

Police are appealing for information after two men were assaulted at a pub in Partick last night.

One man, aged 32, was  struck by a bottle at the Quarter Gill at around 11:10pm before the brawl continued outside on Dumbarton Road.

He was taken taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he was treated for a head injury and later released.

The 22-year-old man was also assaulted but did not require hospital treatment.

Two men responsible are described as being white, about 6' in height, aged in their late 40s and bald. They were last seen making off along Hyndland Street.

Detective Constable Craig Martin, the officer in charge of the enquiry, is appealing for anyone with information which can help identify the two men who carried out the assaults to get in touch.

He said: "If you were in the Quarter Gill or in the Dumbarton Road area at the time and witnessed the assaults I would urge you to contact me."

Police Scotland can be contacted on 101 - quoting incident 4149 of 28 December 2019. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
