Two arrests at Glasgow Central Station as man rushed to hospital following incident

Two people have been arrested and one man has been rushed to hospital following an incident outside a Scots train station.

It comes after an altercation occurred on Union Street, near one of Glasgow Central Station's entrances, according to Glasgow Live.

A man and woman have been arrested in connection with the incident which took place around 1.10pm on Thursday October 21.

A second man has been taken to hospital following the altercation as emergency services remain at the scene.

The entrance to the station has been cordoned off by the police as has the surrounding area.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Union Street, outside Glasgow Central Station, at around 1.10pm on Thursday, 21 October, 2021, following an altercation involving three people.

“A man and a woman have been arrested in connection with the incident, and a second man taken to hospital for treatment.

“A police presence remains while enquiries are conducted at the scene."
