Three people have been arrested after a group of masked men attacked a home and car with hammers last night.
At around 8pm on Thursday, October 7, police received reports that a car and the windows of a property in Dunmurray were smashed with hammers by several masked men before they fled the scene.
A 32-year-old man and 53-year-old woman have since been arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm in suspicious circumstances.
A 65-year-old man has also been detained under the Terrorism Act.
All remain in police custody at this time.
Detective Inspector Dane said: “Shortly after 8pm it was reported that several masked men armed with hammers started smashing a car and the windows of a property in the area before making off from the scene.
"A search is currently underway at a property in the Glen Road area.
"A 32-year-old man and 53-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm in suspicious circumstances.
"A 65-year-old man has been detained under the Terrorism Act. All remain in police custody at this time."
