Two arrests after man left with 'serious' head injuries following attack in Wythenshawe

Police made two arrests after a man was attacked and left with 'serious' head injuries in Wythenshawe.

A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault.

Both men have been released under investigation.

Police were called to reports of an assault at a shop on Sale Road at around 6.30pm on Saturday (June 6).

Officers found a man in his 30s injured on nearby Rackhouse Road.

He was taken to hospital having suffered 'serious' head injuries.

Enquiries continue.
