Two arrests after 18-year-old Scottish teen dies in hospital

A SCOTTISH teenager has died in hospital after police were called to a “disturbance” in the small hours of Friday, July 4.

Adam Nevin, aged 18, passed away at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh on Sunday, police have said.

Officers had been called out to a disturbance at a property on McCann Avenue in Broxburn at around 1.15am on Friday, July 4.

Nevin and two other men – a 25-year-old man and a 28-year-old – were taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment, where Nevin died on Sunday.

Police said his family had been made aware.

The other two men have been arrested and charged in connection with the death.

They are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, July 7.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal, Police Scotland said.
