Two arrested in Tandragee after "blast bomb" found during house search

Two people have been arrested after a "blast bomb" was found during a house search in Co Armagh.

Police were alerted to the suspicious object on Saturday morning after a search in Tandragee.

A 20-year-old woman and 21-year-old man have both been arrested and remain in custody.

Residents of Woodview Park, who evacuated on Saturday, have since been allowed to return to their homes.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "A viable blast bomb type device found by officers carrying out a search at the property was subsequently made safe by ATO.

"It has been recovered for examination."
