Both males, aged 33 and 35, are currently detained at Irishtown Garda Station under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.
The arrests were made yesterday by officers from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.
The pair was detained for "the offence of participation in a criminal organisation pursuant to Section 72 of the Criminal Justice Act 2006," a garda spokesman confirmed.
He added: "This investigation is ongoing."
