Two arrested as over €50k worth of illegal drugs seized in Dublin

Two people have been arrested after gardai seized a total of €53,000 worth of drugs in Dublin.

Officers found €47,000 worth of Diazepam pills (d10s) and €6,000 worth of cannabis during the search of an address in the Ringsend area yesterday.

The arrests came as part of ongoing intelligence-led operations targeting drugs trafficking networks by An Garda Síochána in collaboration with Revenue Customs Service.

A man and a woman, aged in their 20s, are currently detained at Irishtown Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

A garda spokesman confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
