Two arrested as guns, drugs, cash and designer clothes and watches seized in Dublin 7

Two men have been arrested after two guns, drugs, designer items and cash were seized by gardai in north Dublin.

Drugs including heroin and cannabis plants were found with a street value of €22,000 were found in the premises on Dominick Street, Dublin 7.

While a designer watch and clothing, estimated to be worth €30,000 were also found along with a sum of cash.

The men, aged 26 and 32, were arrested at the scene and are currently being held at Mountjoy garda station.

A garda spokeswoman said: "As a result of an intelligence led operation by Gardaí attached to Mountjoy Garda station a search took place this evening, Thursday 12th September, 2019 at approximately 5p.m. at a premises at Palmerston Hall, Dominick Street, Dublin 7.

"During the course of the search two firearms were seized along with drugs (heroin and cannabis plants) with an estimated street value of €22,000 (subject to analysis). 

"Also seized was a designer watch and clothing with an estimated value of €30,000 and a small sum of cash.

"Two men (26 years and 32 years) were arrested at the scene and both are currently detained at Mountjoy Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996."
