Two have been arrested after a a raid at a fire-damaged shop in Motherwell.
Firefighters battled the blaze which ripped through the Spar on Merry Street at around 7pm on Monday.
Thick black smoke could be seen across the neighbourhood as the fire took hold at the premises.
Police Scotland said two suspects have been arrested over the break-in and theft of stock.
Supplies have been removed from the store and officers are conducting patrols of the area to "combat similar crime."
