A motorbike believed to be stolen was crashed into a hedge with police in pursuit.
Merseyside Police officers spotted the bike in Clock Face, St Helens on February 7, and attempted to stop the two men riding as they had no insurance. The driver of the bike attempted to flee, and crashed the motorcycle into a hedge.
Both driver and passenger then attempted to run from officers but were caught on foot. The driver was arrested for allegedly failing to stop for a police officer, driving without third party insurance, theft of motor vehicle and driving otherwise in accordance with a licence.

The passenger was arrested on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle and possession of a Class B controlled drug. Both men are currently in custody awaiting interview.
Police shared a tongue-in-cheek statement on social media. It said: "Eagle-eyed officers from Team 3 spotted this motorcycle travelling through the Clock Face area this evening and unfortunately it had no insurance.
"Thinking he was Evel Knievel, the rider tried to evade officers but rode straight into a hedge. Both rider and passenger then tried to run from officers, but they lost the foot chase too and were detained by the fleet-footed officer in the photo. It just wasn't their night.
"The rider was arrested for the following offences: failing to stop for a police officer, driving without third party insurance, theft of motor vehicle and driving otherwise in accordance with a licence.
"The passenger was arrested for the following offences: Theft of motor vehicle and possession of a controlled drug (Class B). Both males are currently in custody awaiting interview."
