Two arrested after man seen with gun outside pub in Hulme

Two men have been arrested after a man was seen with a gun outside a pub.

Police were alerted after the man was seen near the Three Legs of Man pub in Stretford Road, Hulme, on Saturday night.

In a statement Greater Manchester Police said: "Police were called shortly after 6.15pm on Saturday 29 February 2020 to a report of a man seen in possession of a firearm outside a pub on Stretford Road, Manchester.   

"Officers attended and two men were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm.

"They remain in custody for questioning. Enquiries are ongoing"

GMP confirmed a firearm had been recovered.
