Two arrested after gardai seize gun in Ballyfermot, Co Dublin

Gardai have arrested two men after seizing a firearm from a residence in Dublin.

The raid was carried out on Tuesday night as part of an intelligence led operation in Ballyfermot.

The two men, aged 47 and 52, are currently being detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act 39/98 at Ballyfermot Garda Station.

The seizure was part of an operation which targets organised criminality in the Dublin area.

The Garda National Drugs, Organised Crime Bureau and the Special Crime Task Force carried out the search.
