Two arrested after drugs found in car stopped in Eccles

Greater Manchester Road Police arrested two males on Saturday night (August 21) after officers spotted a Fiat Punto being driven erratically on Liverpool Road in Eccles.

Salford Police units searched the vehicle at around 9pm and found drugs and cash.

The car, which was uninsured, has been seized.

The two male suspects were arrested in connection with drugs offences and have been remanded in custody pending court appearance.

GMP Police Salford tweeted at 9.54pm on Saturday: "Stopped by #TransportUnit & a search turned up a quantity of cash & drugs. Driver uninsured & no stranger to our officers."
